




Randall Borri, DVM
Dr. Randy Borri graduated in 1970 from the
Made Bristol Veterinary Service a familiar name in the Southern Wisconsin/Northern Illinois equine community.
Dr. Borri has spent the last 30+ years committed to the Equine industry. He excels in equine lameness, sport medicine and reproduction. He attends continuing educational seminars yearly to be able to provide the latest in technique and technology.
He has been the past president of the Wisconsin Equine Practitioner Association (WEPA) and is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), the American Association of Equine Practitioner (AAEP) and the Wisconsin Veterinary Medical Association (WVMA). He, along with Dr. Nelson, are the on call Veterinarians for the Wisconsin State Fair.
Together with his wife, Janice, they enjoy leisure days with their grandchildren. During his free time, Dr. Borri can also be found restoring old tractors.
Kevin
Nelson, DVM
Dr. Nelson co-owns and practices large animal
medicine at Bristol Veterinary Service.
After receiving his veterinary medical degree in 1985 from
Dr. Nelson’s talents and community contributions are many and varied. Twice a week he is the attending veterinarian at the Racine Zoo where he examines and treats a wide variety of species from alligators to zebras. He has served as the veterinarian for the Kenosha County Fair for 20 years and for the Midwest Therapeutic Riding Program for more than 15 years.
Kevin, along with Deanna and their son Nathan operate and manage Freehorse Farm. The farm specializes in dressage and eventing. In his free time, Kevin also competes in combined driving.
In 2007, Dr. Nelson was awarded the Veterinarian of the Year Award at the 92nd Annual Convention of the Wisconsin Veterinary Medical Association (WVMA). This award is given by the WVMA annually to a member who has made major contributions to the advancement of the veterinary medical profession.

Karen started at BVS in 1996. After learning the in’s and out’s of the BVS clinic her interest in hands on veterinary care became evident. When a position for a veterinary field assistant became available, Karen was the first to apply. Whether in the field or in the clinic, she assists the doctors with surgeries, x-rays, immunizations and general horse wellness. Karen has been a life long horse lover, taking horse education classes as early as the eighth grade. She has owned horses all her adult life and currently resides with four lovable four-legged friends. Karen is actively involved in the local English bulldog rescue group. Besides horses, she enjoys her three dogs and a handful of barn cats. Karen enjoys trail riding and camping, motorcycle rides with her husband and spending time with her family.

Connie has been with BVS since 1985.
Her interest to be involved with the equine veterinary field
evolved from a life-long interest and involvement with horses.
She spent several years as a veterinary assistant and in
office administration before moving up to the BVS bookkeeper
position. Her knowledge
of horses, their ailments, foaling and care is highly valued by her
co-workers. Connie and
her children were involved in 4-H for many years.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family,
riding her horse, Miss Pea, jogging with her dog, Genny and
wonderful winter
Juliet
(Jules) Paradowski
Juliet graduated from UW-Stevens Point, majoring in Biology with a minor in Captive Wildlife Management. After working at the Racine Zoo for 11 ½ years, most recently as one of the animal curators, Juliet came to work for Bristol Vet in 2005. When not working, Juliet enjoys reading, gardening, video games, and riding her scooter and motorcycle with her boyfriend.
Karen
Schappe
Karen started at BVS in early 2008 as the laboratory technician. Karen graduated from UW-Madison with a BS in Microbiology. She then spent 12 years working at the Wisconsin State Laboratory of Hygiene. Karen has spent several years volunteering at the Dane County Humane Society and the Racine Zoo. Karen has two cats and one dog. On her free days, she enjoys spending time with her husband visiting zoos, canoeing and hiking.
